Text Box: Singing & Music Theory Teacher

My private studio caters for both adult and school age students. Amongst my students are those at selective performance high schools and tertiary students. Some students are choral singers, seeking to improve their technique. Others simply sing for the joy of it.

My students study mostly classical music, but also contemporary, jazz, music theatre and cabaret. I have successfully prepared students for examinations (including AMEB, HSC and tertiary) and auditions.

Students are also welcome to come for music theory lessons, whether it is simply to improve their music skills or to prepare for AMEB examinations.

Am I too young to have lessons?

My students have ranged in age from ten to eighty years. Girls normally begin lessons at the age of thirteen or fourteen years. Younger girls are accepted on audition.

Boys may attend as sopranos, or later once their voices have settled, post break.

Am I too old to have lessons?

It is never too late to learn to sing.

How long will I need to have lessons?

Learning to sing is a process. It takes time.

Success is not necessarily instantaneous, but with proper guidance and practice, students can enjoy real results.

Remember that professional singers often still have singing lessons, even after many years of successful performing.
